Consumer-durable class extension; corpus names durables, not hotel spec.
The range above is an indicative planning figure taken from our own research, not a quotation and not an offer. buytogethr is pre-launch and has closed no pools.
The cold side of a property runs from walk-in cold and freezer rooms through reach-in and undercounter cabinets, blast chillers and ice machines to the back-of-house appliances around them. Cold rooms are the part most often mis-specified. Bids differ on panel thickness and insulation, on floor construction and whether it takes trolley traffic, on door type, heater and internal safety release, on refrigerant choice and the regulatory horizon behind it, on the ambient temperature the condensing unit is rated for and where it will actually sit, and on whether temperature logging and alarms are included. Sizing on internal volume alone is the standard error: what matters is the daily product load, its entry temperature and the pull-down time required.
A good fit. These are catalogue classes from a limited set of organised manufacturers, bought a few units at a time by a very fragmented buyer side of independent hotels, resorts and restaurants. Cold rooms are semi-custom but assembled from standard panels, doors and condensing units, so a pool can fix panel specification, refrigerant, controls and door detail while dimensions vary per site. There is a second reason to pool here beyond price. A refrigeration failure is an immediate stock loss, and a pooled contract is the practical way for a single property to obtain a response-time commitment it could not negotiate alone.
