Switches, cabling, Wi-Fi and printers pooled per district.
The range above is an indicative planning figure taken from our own research, not a quotation and not an offer. buytogethr is pre-launch and has closed no pools.
Two purchases usually made apart and better made together: the campus network of access switches, aggregation, structured cabling, access points and the controller or cloud management behind them; and the print estate across offices, staff rooms and labs. Network quotes vary on port count, PoE budget, uplink speed and the wifi management licence, which may be perpetual, per access point, or bundled for a term. Print quotes vary between a machine price and a per-page service contract, which are not comparable at all. The recurring error is buying access points by count off a floor plan when only a site survey establishes how many the buildings actually need.
Mixed, and worth saying so. Switches, access points and printers are commodity hardware bought against a written specification, and aggregating them across institutions reaches a volume no single campus does. Design does not aggregate: cable routes, wall construction and coverage are site-specific, so the group should pool hardware and licences while keeping survey, installation and commissioning local. Print is the stronger half. Because the per-page service contract carries most of the ten-year cost, negotiating a pooled page rate matters far more than negotiating the price of the machines.
