Very low potential, very high competition; the one category to avoid.
The range above is an indicative planning figure taken from our own research, not a quotation and not an offer. buytogethr is pre-launch and has closed no pools.
This is the long tail: bolts, anchors, screws, nails, binding wire, abrasive discs, blades, tapes, sealants, brushes and protective equipment, drawn continuously rather than ordered as a project. Grade and coating are where quotes hide their differences, since a plated bolt and a hot-dip galvanised one read identically on a line item, and anchors vary between load-rated products with published data and lookalikes without. Pack size, minimum order value and counter response also change the real cost. Buyers chase price per piece across many suppliers when the cost that bites is elsewhere: storekeeping and issue control, a crew standing idle after a stock-out, and an uncertified fastener finding its way into a structural connection.
This is the weakest category on the founder's construction list, ranked fifteenth of fifteen with very low group-buy potential, very high competition, and the only verdict of avoid initially. We agree, and say so rather than dress it up. Value per line is too small to carry a negotiation, requirements are unpredictable week to week, and the service that decides the outcome is a counter near the site that opens early and holds stock. Aggregation would have to beat a local supplier on responsiveness rather than on price, which pooled procurement does badly. Leave this to the site store.
