Piped oxygen, vacuum and air manifold across OT and ICU.
The range above is an indicative planning figure taken from our own research, not a quotation and not an offer. buytogethr is pre-launch and has closed no pools.
This is installed infrastructure rather than a product: a source – cylinder manifold with automatic changeover, an oxygen generation plant, or a bulk liquid tank – feeding copper pipework, isolation and area valve service units, alarm panels, terminal outlets and bed-head panels, with medical air and vacuum plant where the services require them. Bids are hard to compare because the scope boundary moves; civil and electrical work, the source plant, alarms, testing and certification are inside one bid and outside the next. Two errors recur: sizing to today's bed count rather than the planned expansion, and accepting a low bid in which pressure testing, purity certification and as-built drawings were quietly left out.
This pools less cleanly than a product, and it is worth saying so. Every installation is designed to its own building, so there is no single item to aggregate. What pools is the specification, the qualification of contractors and a schedule of rates – per outlet, per metre of pipe, per valve unit, per bed-head panel – against which several projects can be awarded on identical terms. That works when a set of new facilities is being built in the same window and the same contractors would otherwise bid for each separately. For one retrofit into an occupied building, pooling adds little.
