Backup power protecting OT, ICU and laboratory equipment.
The range above is an indicative planning figure taken from our own research, not a quotation and not an offer. buytogethr is pre-launch and has closed no pools.
Power conditioning is bought to a load, not to a catalogue. An online double-conversion UPS for ICU and theatre, a servo stabiliser for an imaging room on a swinging supply, and an isolated power supply panel with earth leakage monitoring for the operating theatre are three distinct requirements that one line item often conceals. Quotes diverge on kVA rating, battery make and quantity, the backup duration and the load it is quoted at, and whether battery rack, cabling, earthing and panels sit inside the price. Two errors are common: sizing from the sum of nameplate ratings instead of a measured load including imaging inrush, and reading a backup figure quoted at part load as though it applied at full load.
This pools partially, and it is worth being precise about which part. The kVA rating follows each building's load, so the equipment is not identical between buyers and no single unit price compares across the group. The specification framework, the battery standard, the installation and earthing scope and the service response do standardise, and a rate per kVA against a common specification gives the group a comparable basis. The strongest pooled element is the battery replacement contract: it recurs on a predictable cycle at every participating institution, and that is a supply commitment worth competing for.
